Some years ago, Monty Python put out a movie entitled "The meaning of life." Great movie, but did not give the meaning. The book "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" gives the meaning of life as "42" - ???? Great book, but not my meaning. The Westminster Confession asks the question "What is the chief end of man?" and gives the answer "To glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." The apostle Paul writes "for me to live is Christ and to die is gain."
I take my stand with Paul and the Westminster divines - what is your meaning for life?

My First Blog
This is an attempt for a senior citizen to join the 21st century - I have written sermons, articles, recipes and even books - but this is my first blog. I am way behind the times. I do not own an I-pod or a blackberry or even a hand-held calendar. My cell phone is a pay-as-you-go and only my wife and secretary know the number. Though I have owned a computer since the Commodore 64 (look it up, kids) I have always been about one or two series behind. So I am blogging mostly to find out if i can use it for something.
